Why Motorbike Recovery Is Different
A bike has no bodywork protecting its fairings, exhaust or controls the way a car’s panels do. Load one carelessly and you cause more damage than the breakdown did. We use dedicated motorcycle wheel chocks, straps and ramps wide enough to load safely. The bike isn’t ridden or lifted onto the truck — it’s walked up with mechanical assistance where possible, winched otherwise. Straps go to the frame and wheel, not to fairings, mirrors, exhausts or levers — avoiding unnecessary compression of the forks and protecting fairings, controls and exhausts. Secured at four fixing points minimum.
