Why Boat Recovery Is Different

Boat trailers are built differently from any other road trailer — roller or cradle systems, low axle height, and attachment points that differ entirely based on the type of boat, its weight, and how the trailer supports the hull. Boat trailers often spend long periods unused before travelling long motorway distances. Any trailered vessel — motorboats, sailing dinghies, jet skis, RIBs, speedboats and small cruisers. If it’s on a road trailer and it’s broken down, call us.

Do you provide maritime salvage or water recovery?

No — we recover boats by road. If your boat is in the water and needs lifting out, you’ll need a marina hoist or crane specialist. Once it’s on the trailer and road-ready, we can help.

Do you recover the boat and trailer together, or just the vehicle?

We recover the combination where it’s safe and practical. If they need to be separated, we’ll talk through the options when we arrive.

Can you recover from a slipway?

Depends on access — call us and describe the situation, including the gradient, surface and whether the trailer is on the slipway or the tow vehicle. We’ll confirm whether we can reach you and how we’d approach it.
